A full hands on experience.
Our skateboard maker workshops aim to provide you with enough knowledge and practical skills to go and press more skateboard decks at home. All workshops have a group size of 4 to 15 people, enabling our facilitators to work more closely with the group, as the process is very hands-on and requires supervision.
As our SKATEtotheMAX ethos is to provide a safe environment for the skateboarders, all our facilitators are DBS checked and fully trained in the Roarockit vacuum-sealed process.
Throughout the sessions, we will be encouraging an open discussion about protective headgear and taking on board the group's valuable input about what they feel is the best way forward.

Our Services
Maker workshop
£110 (bursary available)
This two-day workshop is run over two sessions, each lasting approx 3-4 hours.
In groups of no more than ten people. Working in pairs, you will learn how to build your board. A whole hands-on experience.
You leave with a skateboard handmade by you, ready to decorate, finish, and add hardware at home. Occasionally, there is time to do some essential decorating, too
.Session 1:
- Demonstration and explanation of the process of board building.
- Glue-up and vacuum pressing of your deck
Session 2 :
- Taking your project out of the press
- Sanding and finishing touches on your board
Your board is ready to take home.
Design, make, and decorate Maker workshop.
£185 (bursary available)
The five-session workshop takes you through the full hands-on process of making a complete street deck, starting with designing an image, pressing your board, sanding and shaping, transferring your design onto your deck, vanishing, applying grip tape, and fixing your trucks and wheels. You will have the complete knowledge to go and press more decks.

Artwork and design ideas demonstration and talk
Session Two 3-4hrs
Glue up and vacuum press your deck
Session Three 4hrs
once out of the press, sanding and finishing raw board
if there is time, start applying the design
Session Four 4 hrs
Applying design and vanish
Session Five 2-3 hrs
Apply grip tape and hardware to complete the deck

Decorate a pre-pressed skateboard.
£65 ( bursary available)
In this four-hour session, you are creating a skateboard deck that is unique and custom-made by you. Using various applications, you will create a board ready to take home for yourself or a gift. Open to all ages.
